I will pray morning, noon, and night, pleading aloud with God; and he will hear and answer.

Why do we pray?

Initially, we pray because God has asked us to.
Jesus taught us to “Ask and we shall receive”.
We pray because as we pray, our relationship with God deepens
and we come to know him as our Heavenly Father.
We pray because we want to align ourselves with God’s Will.
We pray because God answers prayer.

24/7 Prayer Course

If you are interested in finding out more about prayer, the 24/7 prayer course is a good place to start. It covers everything from why we pray to intercession, unanswered prayer and contemplation. Here is the first episode.

Praying unceasingly, night and day, encountering Jesus, experiencing peace beyond understanding, daring to pray the impossible to the God of the impossible.” Pete Greig on 24/7 prayer.
